The Lyme Disease Association has compiled a list of LLMD's (Lyme Literate Medical Doctors). Finding a LLMD in the midwest that is available to take on more patients can be challenging. The Midwest Lyme Foundation's mission involves raising money for training midwestern doctors. These doctors participate in the ILADS (International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society) training program to become "Lyme Literate". By making the medical treatment of Lyme disease and it's co-infections available to all who are suffering we can impact the difference between a temporary or a lifelong struggle with a complicated chronic illness.
