Lyme Disease Support Groups

Support groups are listed below and at the Lyme Disease Network which contains links to many support groups in the United States and other countries. More groups can be found at lymeinfo.net.  If a support group cannot be found, contact the nearest support group to you to ask for potential other support groups which may be closer to you.  Also, if you are new to a support group please verify information with contact person before attending to be sure information has not changed.




Des Moines

Directions:  I80 to Jordan Creek Exit; follow to Ashworth Rd. The church is on the corner of     Ashworth and Jordan Creek Pkwy – go to the main entrance - room 201. (Handicapped accessible and parking at church.) For any further directions, please go to www.hopewdm.org.

Cedar Rapids

Directions:  Marion Library, 1095 6th Ave. The Marion Library is just one block from the 7th Avenue and 10th Street stop light. (Marion’s 7th Avenue is the same as Cedar Rapids’ 1st Avenue).

Grinnell

Directions:  Meetings are at United Methodist Church at 5th and Park. When coming on 6th Avenue, turn south onto Park Street. Go one block to the church. When coming on 146, turn east on 5th Street, go 3 blocks and the church will be on the right side.

Sioux City

Directions:  Meetings are at St. Lukes Hospital. From I-29 north, go to 147 B Exit (which is Nebraska Street) – follows Nebraska Street straight to 27th Street and then turn left onto 27th Street. Go one block and you will come to St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center (2720 Stone Park Blvd). There is free parking across the street from the hospital. Enter the first building on the left’s canopy (as it is the main hospital building) and go to the right to the public elevators. Go to the lower level and go to the atrium. Follow the signs

Go two blocks. The Brainerd Library will be on your right side. Park in the library’s main parking lot and use the main entrance for the meeting room.
