Mike Nakamura - President. Mike owns his own consumer products company and has been successful in the retail and wholesale industry for most of his career. Having been diagnosed with Lyme disease, along with other family members, Mike is eager to provide his leadership and management experience to help guide the activites of the Midwest Lyme Foundation. |

Scott Egler – Treasurer
Scott earned a BS at Northern Illinois University with an emphasis in Computer Science and Math. He is a Senior Manager at Accenture and has more than 25 years of experience in the areas of Business Consulting and Marketing. Most recently he has lead global marketing initiatives in the areas of Supply Chain Management and Customer Relationship Management. As a part of these initiatives he has helped to publish numerous articles and books, organize events and seminars, lead a global internal communications program, and run successful business development campaigns. While not diagnosed with Lyme disease himself, Scott's entire family has been affected by the illness and is currently receiving treatment for the disease. |

Charles Schultz - Director of Operations
Chuck joined Midwest Lyme Foundation after his wife Judy had been struggling with Lyme disease for over six years. Judy is also on the board and together their mission is to help others avoid many of the complications that come with this disease. Chuck has been an electrician since high school and started his own electrical contracting company in 2000. Along with being a small business owner he enjoys hiking and triathlons. |

Judy Schultz - Physician Training Committee
My background is in the arts. I have a degree in Fine Art with 25 years experience as a graphic artist, prop master in films and commercials along with various freelance projects. I have always been involved with volunteer work in one capacity or another which included running and coordinating events. I had contracted Lyme Disease in 2003 and I have become an advocate to bring awareness and education to the public and medical community. This has now become my primary focus as well as passion. |

Lauren Egler - Director of Programming
Lauren is the mother of four children, all affected by Lyme Disease and its co-infections. After being undiagnosed and misdiagnosed for over 20 years, Lauren was finally correctly diagnosed with Lyme and co-infections in 2006 and her children in 2007. She has been an advocate for Lyme Disease education and awareness since her Lyme journey began having started the Chicago Lyme Support Group and is a founding member of Midwest Lyme Foundation. Lauren's desire is to help Lyme patients have a community to connect to and help educate the public on Lyme Disease. |

Jackie Nakamura - Board Member
Having been diagnosed with Lyme along with the rest of her family Jacqueline has become an advocate for the misdiagnosed and the under educated. She resides in Illinois and is currently seeking certification in specific, natural healing medicines. |
